Datto RMM Connector
Managed service providers using Datto RMM live in two systems: Datto for monitoring and alerting, Odoo for ticketing and client management. When something breaks at a client site, the alert fires in Datto — but the workflow, the SLA clock, and the client record all live in Odoo. Someone has to bridge that gap manually. This module eliminates that step.
What It Does
The Datto RMM Connector syncs device alerts, monitoring events, and status changes from Datto directly into Odoo Helpdesk — automatically creating and updating tickets based on configurable alert rules, and surfacing device health data inside the Odoo dashboard without leaving the platform.

- Automatic ticket creation — Datto alerts above a defined severity threshold generate Odoo Helpdesk tickets automatically, with device name, site, alert type, and priority pre-populated
- Bi-directional status sync — ticket resolution in Odoo reflects back to Datto; alert recovery in Datto closes or updates the linked ticket
- Device health dashboard — a custom Odoo dashboard widget surfaces real-time device status, open alerts, and site health scores pulled live from the Datto API
- Client site mapping — Datto sites map to Odoo contacts and companies, so every ticket is automatically associated with the right customer record
- Alert filtering & routing — configurable rules control which alert types generate tickets, what priority they receive, and which support team they route to
- Notification integration — Odoo's native notification and SLA system applies to Datto-sourced tickets the same as any manually created ticket
The Problem It Solves
Without this connector, an MSP technician sees a Datto alert, manually creates a ticket in Odoo, copies over the device details, and sets the priority themselves — then later remembers to close the Datto alert when the ticket resolves. Every one of those steps is a chance for something to fall through the cracks, an SLA to start late, or a client conversation to happen without the full context in front of the technician.
This module makes Odoo the single pane of glass for MSP support operations.
